Usage note: đâu
đâu means "where", and it also works as a strong "not (at all)" at the end of a sentence.
- Where: Nhà vệ sinh ở đâu? — Where's the toilet? Anh đi đâu đấy? — Where are you going?
- From where: Anh từ đâu đến? — Where do you come from?
- Emphatic "not": Tôi không biết đâu. — I really don't know. Không đắt đâu! — It's not expensive at all!
- Đâu có! — Not at all! / That's not true!
Note that Đi đâu đấy? is a standard greeting when meeting someone in the street — a friendly "where are you off to?", not a real request for information. A vague answer is fine: Đi đằng này một chút. — Just over this way.
✗ Ở đâu là nhà vệ sinh? → ✓ Nhà vệ sinh ở đâu?
đâu đó = somewhere; đâu cũng = everywhere.

Part of the đ-series of demonstratives along with đây, đấy, đó.
